Day 92: Perth, a birthday lunch

The cold wet weather continued this morning with hope of it clearing up a bit later this afternoon. In any case, we do not have plans that require time outdoors, so let's see how it goes.

This morning we went to see the twins swimming at their swimming school before heading off to a late lunch to celebrate Carole and Bill's birthdays. The restaurant was called Spritz, and was located at Mount Hawthorn. It was a true Italian food experience, with very nice food, and good old fashioned service. The Aperol Spritz was also apparently very good.

Finally we got a group photo of all of us together

Fettuccine Marinara was a favourite and was excellent

Adjacent to the restaurant is a Gelateria, run by the same owners. Dessert, for those who still had room, was a gelato treat. Of course the twins were first in the queue.

Having had more than enough to eat, we headed back to Michelle's place and remarkably, there was enough of a break in the weather for the gardening work to continue.

Hopefully the weather will be kinder to us tomorrow so the outdoor chores can be completed.
